Some users of iPad2 are experiencing problems connecting to Verizon's 3G network. First, make sure that you upgrade all your APPs and your device to the latest version of iOS. Depending on your situation you may experience different issues, below is some recommend trouble shooting for you to try.
During initial setup connecting to the 3G network:
- Turn on WiFi roaming to setup the device on the network.
- Procced with Setup.
After Turning Cellular Data off:
- Turn Cellular Data on.
- Turn Roaming on.
- Reboot Device.
Continues Searching for Verizon's 3G Network:
- Turn Cellular Data off.
- Turn iPad2 off.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Turn iPad2 on.
- After startup Turn Cellular Data on.
We have been unable to duplicate the problem. However with other devices we have had similar connection issues related to our location in the United States. We are hoping Apple and Verizon will provide more information. Users that report the problem should provide as much information as possible to Apple including geographic location, version of software, OS (if device has been connected to computer), firmware and other services running (WiFi).
