Condition Remains GREEN

If you continue to have iPhone Battery Problems after iOS 5.0.1 update please perform the following:

  1. First make sure that you backup you device in iTunes with Encryption on.
  2. Turn off any un-necessary network services such as WiFi and Blue Tooth.
  3. Make sure that you are in fact running iOS 5.0.1 by checking in General>About. It should read 5.0.1 (XXX) 
  4. Perform a "Hard Reset" on the device. 
  5. Do a reset by selecting Selecting Settings>General>Reset.
  6. Setup as a new phone, all your email and APPS will still be there.
  7. Use the device and let the battery drain down, under 10%.
  8. Do a full recharge using the power adaptor. (Make sure all the connections are secure.)

If the problem persist only after doing all the steps above:

  1. Backup and Encrypt your device in iTunes.
  2. Do a factory reset on the device.
  3. Perform the Update on the Device.
  4. Perform a Restore of the Backup.

Users of first generation iPads have extensive improvement by do the following: 

  1. Selecting Settings>General>Reset.

 

** Depending on the device and applications installed your results will vary. Performing all of steps may not be necessary for every user. Doing a device reset and battery recharge has been successful for most users.
