Condition Remains GREEN

Some users are reporting that FaceTime shows random pictures or photos from a previous session. We have been unable to duplicate the glitch and suspect that it is related to the application saving state when the phone switches application or locks the screen. At this stage we suspect that it is a software issue, this has very limited privacy concerns at this time.

If you experience this issue try these steps first:

  • Go into Settings>Phone and disable FaceTime.
  • Restart the device after saving the settings.
  • After phone restart go into Setting>Phone and enable FaceTime.

If this does not solve the problem then try steps in post 4/6/2011.

Phishing expeditions via Skype, email, SMS and telephone calls indicating there is a virus on your computer are fraudulent. The target of the phishing attempts includes MacOSX, iPhone and iPad users. This is a scam, and you should never share any information with an unknown individual.

Users should take the following action:

  • Limit Skype to only allow contacts for all privacy settings.
  • Ignore these calls and messages.
  • Never open these SMS messages or emails.
  • Do not give any information including your name out over the phone to unknown callers.
  • Install a Anti-Virus product such as Intego Virus Barrier
